Clientele — Spirits brand — 2026
The Poet
She falls asleep over the poem. She wakes inside it.
The Brief
A literary brand film for a classical spirits label: carry a Tang-dynasty drinking poem into a modern audience without a museum tone. One dreamer, one poet, one golden ewer — vertical, and built to be finished in under a minute.
Scene by Scene
- 0:00

Asleep over the page
A woman drifts off across an open book of classical poetry, city night behind the curtains. The film establishes its rule in one shot: the poem is the door.
- 0:05

The banquet hall
A Tang banquet hall in deep red and gold, lanterns receding into the dark. The dream arrives fully formed — no transition, no explanation.
- 0:10

The poet enters
He walks the crimson carpet alone, robes white against the red. Scale and solitude in the same frame: the celebrated man, entirely by himself.
- 0:16

The ewer raised
The golden vessel lifted to the light as the verse appears on screen. The product is present as an instrument of the poem, never as a display.
- 0:27

The wine poured out
Arm at full extent, wine falling in a thread through candlelight — the gesture of a man spending everything and trusting it returns.
- 0:32

She is watching
A woman in court dress in the hall, listening. The dreamer has entered her own dream.
- 0:38

Waking
Back to the bedroom and the open book, her hand still on the page. The film returns exactly where it began — and lets the poem keep the last word.
